School Office Manager

Job Description

Zest are working closely with a school in Halesowen to recruit a full time school office manager to start as soon as possible. The role will be a long term position into the New Year.

What the role will involve:

  • General Admin, including but not limited to: effective running of the general office as one of the school’s main points of public contact, preparation and production of all school records and publications including additions to the website, manage the schools admission procedures, dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues, ensure the smooth running of the school’s reception, postal, telephones, stationery and hospitality facilities
  • Finance, including: overseeing approved financial procedures and provide a link between school and the MAT, advising staff on requisition procedures
  • HR, including: managing a small team, maintaining the single central record system, support of the central team and Headteacher, be responsible for the development and maintenance of all personnel records and staff CPD

The successful candidate must:

  • Be NVQ Level 3 qualified, or above, in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Be able to commit to the entirety of the role
  • Have the ability to understand and lead a team of staff
  • Be proficient in literacy and numeracy
  • Comply with the Schools commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
