Computer Science Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education has been tasked with recruiting a vibrant and innovative Computer Science educator for a bustling, high-achieving school in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The position, commencing in January 2025, is full-time for at least one term, with the potential to be extended should the school deem it necessary.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a candidate eager to infuse the school with creativity and passion while making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. The successful applicant must possess a positive and imaginative teaching style, capable of inspiring and engaging students with the aid of new educational resources that facilitate dynamic teaching methods.

The ideal candidate should hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification from the UK, resulting in QTS or QTLS certification, demonstrate a deep enthusiasm for Computer Science, exhibit strong subject knowledge spanning KS3 and KS4, embrace teamwork, and contribute positively to a collaborative working environment. Additionally, they should excel in planning, marking, and delivering top-notch lessons, along with possessing adept classroom and behaviour management skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
