📚 The Role

We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the school from March 2026 for the remainder of the Half Term, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils in small groups and one‑to‑one, particularly in English and maths.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, structured classroom environment.
  • Assist pupils in developing independence, resilience, and strong learning habits.
  • Support children’s social and emotional development, promoting confidence and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities, interventions, and events.

Your support will play a key role in helping KS2 pupils prepare for the next stage of their education and build strong academic foundations.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning. Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Have experience working with KS2 pupils or within a primary school setting.
  • Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Stay organised and manage tasks effectively throughout the school day.
  • Adapt creatively to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Approach challenges with patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.

These qualities will help you thrive in a busy KS2 environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ progress.
