Music Teacher, Birmingham

Job Description

Zest Education are working with a ‘Good’ OFSTED rated secondary school who are seeking to appoint a music teacher for one academic term starting in April 2026.

The school’s diverse curriculum is supported by a school-wide enrichment programme and extended school day that ensures all students have the opportunity to explore their passions and develop as well-rounded citizens with great character. Located just outside Birmingham city centre, the school have high expectations of you to be an outstanding role model committed to the distinctive ethos of the school.

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of music and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS4 (KS5 is desirable)
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
