Job Description

Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant who loves helping children reach their full potential?

Zest Education is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive Primary School in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and committed to supporting pupils both academically and personally.

Start date: April 2026

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (part-time considered for the right candidate)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and helping pupils stay engaged and motivated.

⭐ About the Role

You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils during lessons and contribute to a classroom environment where all children feel valued and encouraged. Your support may include one-to-one work or small group interventions, helping pupils understand their learning and build confidence.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils during lessons to maintain engagement and motivation
  • Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups
  • Assist teachers with classroom organization and learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Help pupils develop confidence in their learning and personal abilities

⭐ Requirements

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential
  • Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • A positive, patient, and supportive approach
  • A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
