Zest Education needs you! We are looking for full-time learning support assistants for a school located in Birmingham. This school caters for students aged 2 to 11 whom have a diagnosis of ASD, PMLD and SLD. The large, dedicated staff team work hard to support relationships with their students in order for them to achieve, strive and promote their independence. An augmented and modified curriculum is carried throughout the school to meet the needs of all their students and create a safe and caring learning environment.
This is a full-time role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other learning support assistants. You will be required to work within small groups of students and on a one-to-one basis and due to the age range of students, you must be flexible across all ages.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD, ASD and SLD.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
