A warm and supportive SEN school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) to join their team as soon as possible.
This rewarding, full‑time role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping children with additional needs succeed.


The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personalised support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs
  • Help them access learning, develop confidence, and regulate emotions
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
  • Support learning within the classroom and during small‑group activities
  • Use consistent, nurturing strategies to promote positive behaviour
  • Help create a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH, or similar)
  • Is calm, patient, and confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Is adaptable and able to use initiative
  • Has an enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one
