Are you a driven individual with experienced within SEND? Then here at Zest Education, we have the role for you! We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for a school located in Birmingham which caters for students aged two to eleven whom have a diagnosis of ASD and PMLD. The students attending this school access a modified and tailored curriculum to meet their needs along with helping them strive within their education. Classes are taught within small sizes with lots of support from the dedicated and committed staff team and students likes and interests are implemented within their learning to make it exciting and enjoyable.
This is a full-time teaching assistant role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other teaching assistants. You will be requiring to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students and due to the age range of the students, you must be flexible across all age groups.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD and ASD.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
