DT Teacher, Birmingham City Centre

Job Description

Zest Education are working with a secondary school in Birmingham City Centre who are looking for a DT teacher to join their school. This is a temporary full time role starting as soon as possible.

By using creativity and imagination within the DT department, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others needs, wants and values.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • Be able to teach resistant materials at KS3 and KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

 

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience, ranging from £143-£189 a day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
