Job Description

Zest Education needs you! We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hard-working classroom support assistant for a SEND school located in Birmingham. Students attending this school range from the age two to eleven with PMLD and additional disabilities and are all supported in receiving the best possible education. The students are provided with chances to explore their interests and promote their independence along with access to a tailored curriculum to meet their learning needs and a sensory curriculum for the more profound learners.

This is a full-time classroom support assistant role requiring you to work Monday to Friday supporting alongside the teacher and other classroom support assistants. You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups of students and due to the age range of the students, you must be flexible across all ages.

The role:

–              We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience

–              You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD and additional disabilities.

–              Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
