Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary academy in Cannock. This is a full‑time KS2 support role, starting as soon as possible, running until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension for the right person.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide general classroom support across Key Stage 2
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
  • Support pupils with reading, writing and maths activities
  • Help maintain a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Encourage independence, resilience and positive behaviour
  • Assist the class teacher with preparation, organisation and daily routines
  • Offer additional support to pupils who may need targeted guidance

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
