Job Description

Our partner Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team in providing outstanding care and education for children aged 0–5 years.

About the Role

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and early years education are maintained in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and all statutory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

    •    Lead, motivate and support the nursery team.

    •    Ensure the nursery operates in full compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

    •    Promote outstanding safeguarding practice and child welfare at all times.

    •    Manage staffing, recruitment, inductions, supervision and professional development.

    •    Build positive relationships with children, parents and external professionals.

    •    Oversee occupancy, admissions and nursery operations.

    •    Maintain high standards of health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.

    •    Drive continuous improvement and strive towards achieving the highest quality of care and education.

Essential Requirements

    •    Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable).

    •    Previous experience managing or deputising within an early years setting.

    •    Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding legislation and Ofsted requirements.

    •    Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.

    •    A genuine passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
