We are proud to be working alongside a lovely SEND school located in Birmingham which caters for students between the age two to eleven with PMLD. The students access a modified and augmented curriculum including a mobility curriculum and sensory curriculum for all students. Along with this, they have multiple built-in facilities for the students supported by a dedicated and committed staff team specialising in different departments of care. There is a large emphasis on independence within the school and students are encouraged to explore a love for their learning.
This is a full-time learning support assistant role requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other learning support assistants. You will be required to work within small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis and due to the age range of students, you must be flexible across all ages.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
