Part Time Humanities Teacher- Geography Specialism

Zest Education are looking to recruit a part time (0.8) humanities teacher with a specialism in Geography from September 2023, for a school in the Lichfield area, this role is for at least one term.

The school are a high performing secondary whose aim and focus is to ensure students and staff are supported in all areas of their school lives, whether it be more training for staff or support sessions for students should they feel they need help in any area of their lives whether it be extra study sessions, help with mental health, physical health and fitness.

Ideally the school are looking for a humanities teacher with specialist focus on Geography. The ability to be adaptable and cover, as and when needed, other humanities subjects such as RE and History is essential as the whole humanities department works cohesively together as a unit.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of Geography and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
6. Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
