Year 5 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the Year 5 classroom.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and raise attainment.
• Assist in delivering targeted interventions in English and Mathematics.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote the school’s values and expectations.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrates patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Works well as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
• Is committed to supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of children.
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
