Zest Education is recruiting a confident, energetic Sports Coach to work within a busy secondary school in Erdington. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, where you’ll support PE lessons and provide general classroom cover across KS3 and KS4.

The position will run from October to December 2026, with a potential review after Christmas depending on school needs and performance.

🏫 Role Overview

You’ll play a key part in supporting physical education across the school, delivering engaging sports sessions when available, and stepping into general cover lessons when required. This role suits someone who is adaptable, confident managing behaviour, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced secondary environment.

🏀 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging sports sessions and support PE staff
• Provide general classroom cover using pre‑set work across a range of subjects
• Maintain a calm, productive learning environment
• Support students with classwork and encourage positive participation
• Uphold school behaviour policies and routines
• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

🎓 What We’re Looking For

• Experience coaching sports or working with young people
• Confident behaviour management and strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings
• A proactive, energetic and reliable approach
• Passion for supporting students both academically and physically
