Classroom Support Assistant.

Zest Education is closely working with a special educational needs school in Stafford. The school requires a Classroom Support Assistant to start ASAP on a full-time basis. The contract will run for the entire academic year.

The school itself caters for children from the age of four to seventeen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.

The busy school encourage all learners to reach their highest standards both academically and in other fields. The school have a welcoming team of staff and are continually looking to strong members to join their team.

The successful candidate will need to be somebody who is confident enough to work with both primary and secondary ages. This role is also hands on so the successful candidate will need to be somebody who can get involved and make themselves known to the pupils who may need their assistance.

The role:

• You must be passionate about working with students with special educational needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment
• This school focuses on positive behaviour management and follows the Team Teach policy, understanding or knowledge of this would be advantageous
• You will be working with children of a variety of ages, so it is important that you have a flexible approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
