Teaching Assistant – Cannock
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in a unique special educational needs school located in Cannock. This school caters for children aged seven to eighteen with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Due to the needs of the children, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in SEND and have good knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do. The school itself is an extremely busy SEND school which is continually expanding and looking to recruit confident and proactive team players who can motivate and impact on pupil development.
You will be working alongside the teacher and supporting the children on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups. You must be able to build caring and supporting relationships with the students in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
This position is due to begin ASAP and will continue on a long term basis for the remainder of the academic year.
