Job Description

Zest Education are closely working with a Secondary school in the Small Heath area who are looking for a computer science teacher to join them.

The school rated ‘Good’ in its latest Ofsted report is a high performing school across all key stages, providing pupils with a unique journey in their education through the curriculum, personal development programme, student experience offer and the vast range of opportunities that they are able to provide as an all-through school.

This is a part-time role (0.4 days) to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year (July 2024).

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for Computer Science and to be able to teach KS3-KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience, ranging from £153-£211 a day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
