Full-time TA, Walsall

Job Description

Are you looking for a full time position at a popular SEND school? Are you looking to further your career within education? We have the ideal role for you!

We are recruiting for a TA to work on a full-time basis at a SEND school in Walsall. This school caters for students from the age of 7-16 with moderate learning difficulties, however majority of our pupils have additional needs, including autism, speech, language and communication difficulties and some behavioural needs. You must be confident with your behaviour management and managing challenging behaviours.

The position will be starting after Easter half term and will be continuing for the full summer term, potentially extended further into September 2023. The school are looking to recruit someone who can uphold the schools values and ethos whilst also being a strong team player.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have experience supporting individuals with SEND or experience within a care/support work background
  • Be able to offer excellent support to the lead teacher
  • Build a sufficient rapport with both staff and pupils
  • A strong team player who is able to inspire and motivate pupils, working effectively with the teacher
  • Someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to challenge, inspire and motivate the children with the class
  • Strong communications skills to feedback on student progress made throughout the lesson
