Job Description

Are you an Early Career Teacher looking to gain experience in a number of different schools local to you? Are you passionate about a future in teaching? Zest Education have the role for you!

Zest Education have close working relationships with several secondary schools in Staffordshire who are in demand of Early Career Teachers. We offer short-term and long-term roles to start in September 2023. The areas we cover include Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton on Trent, Rugeley, Cannock, Stafford and Stoke on Trent

We can provide you with the local knowledge of schools in your area, allowing you to try out different secondary schools before committing to your ECT induction year.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them a QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for their specific subject and outstanding knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • The desire to work as part of a wider teaching team as well as a great team ethos
  • The ability and knowledge to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Strong ICT skills and time management

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
