History Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is working with a secondary school in Cannock who need a full time History Teacher. The role is due to start in the new academic year for at least one term. This may be extended for the right candidate.

The school hold the children and staffs happiness and well-being at the highest regard, building them the foundations of skills that they can take through life. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom and behaviour management and be able to work well within a hardworking humanities team.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
• A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
