Cover Supervisor (Male PE), Bromsgrove

Job Description

Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in Bromsgrove who are looking to recruit a male Cover Supervisor, with an interest in PE, to start with them in September 2023. These positions offer paid, flexible work in schools which can help someone who is looking to get entry onto a teacher training course in the near future.

This role is extremely popular with people who have an interest in education, working with young people, gaining classroom experience, or have recently graduated.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is varied, challenging, but also very rewarding and fun.

The Role of a Cover Supervisor:

  • A cover supervisor’s primary role is to supervise pupils in the absence of their normal teacher, they will deliver high quality, pre-planned lessons to groups of 11-18 year old students.
  • As the work is pre-planned, you will be expected to deliver it to the students, manage classroom behaviour and provide feedback to relevant people within schools.

What qualifications do I need?

To be a successful Cover Supervisor we look for experience of 20 days or more working with children and/or young people. This role is a great steppingstone to get into a career in teaching. Ideally you will hold a degree, but this isn’t a necessity.

  • Sports Coaches
  • Youth Workers
  • Camp America
  • Football Coaching
  • Dance Teacher
  • School placements
  • Voluntary work
  • Scout leader

Pay and remuneration:

  • A Cover Supervisor can expect to be paid between £71.52- £85 per day.
  • Usual working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm.
