Teacher of Psychology

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a psychology teacher for a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school in the Burton on Trent Area. This is for a long-term supply from September 2024 in a full time position.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to teach across KS4 and KS5, experience of the sociology curriculum would also be appealing to the school.

The school strives for success with academic results soaring due to a creative and engaging curriculum. Students are at the heart of the school with the ethos focusing on providing students with the tools for the future.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Psychology and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5 (Sociology knowledge would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
