Learning Support Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to work in a special educational needs (SEND) school located in Telford. This role is to start in October 2023 for the full academic year. You will be required to work 8:30am to 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This school caters for students from the age of 7-18 with Autism (ASC). The successful candidate must be resilient and have previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND.

The school are committed to raising achievement and enabling students to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum. You may be required to work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups so it is important you are adaptable to each individuals needs.

The role:

• You will be required to work across different rooms and age groups, showing initiative and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Although, this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs
• You must also have excellent communication skills as will be required to work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
