History Teacher (0.8)

Job Description

If you are a History Teacher looking for work in South Derby, we have the role for you!

Zest Education has a close working relationship with a secondary school in South Derby who need a History Teacher to start in the next academic year. This is a Part time (0.8) role for at least one term.

This popular high school is full of extremely committed staff who work in harmony with each other, the wider community and parents/carers to ensure that the children are receiving the best possible education to support them throughout secondary school and beyond.

It is essential that you are adaptable and resourceful with experience teaching across the three main disciplines of Humanities: Geography, History and RE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for History and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be confident in using ICT
