Job Description

Are you a Design and Technology Teacher looking for work in September?

Zest Education have a close working relationship with a school in Swadlincote who need a part-time (0.4) Design and Technology teacher. The role is due to start in thew new academic year and will finish in December 2023.

This popular high school have worked hard to develop an engaging and thought-provoking curriculum and are always looking to find new and exciting ways to teach it.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Design & Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Resistant Material knowledge would be an advantage)
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
