PE Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is looking to recruit a male PE Teacher for a secondary school we work closely with in Stoke-On-Trent. The role will be full time to start in the new academic year and is ongoing for the right person. Due to changing room supervision, a male member of staff is required.

The school aim to give children the tools and understanding required to make a positive impact in their own physical health and well-being. They ensure all children experience a wide variety of sports and physical skills which will enhance life-long fitness and life choices.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
  • A Passion for sport and the subject of PE with exceptional knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Have a good team ethos and the desire to work as part of the larger PE department
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The desire to get involved with any extracurricular PE clubs and activities as and when needed.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
