Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you a teaching assistant looking for a better work life balance? If so, we have an opportunity for you to achieve that!

A special educational needs school in Nuneaton are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis – you must be able to commit to 3 days a week (which can be discussed at interview).

This SEND school caters for students from the age of 5-19 with a range of learning disabilities including Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

You will be working across a variety of classrooms so must be confident working with students both primary and secondary ages. You will be working with the students in small groups and may be occasions you are required to support on a 1:1 basis.

The role is to start in October 2023 and will continue for the duration of the academic year for the right candidate.

The role:

  • The successful candidate must have experience supporting individuals with SEND or experience in a care setting
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs
  • You must be engaging, reliable and able to quickly build professional relationships
  • Ensure the maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe working environment making sure that
  • equipment/resources/materials are set out on time and as per instructions received and used safely to enable students to meet their learning targets
