Food Technology and Art Technician

Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to pupils in a secondary school in Birmingham that we closely work with. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, providing the support they need to succeed.

As an Art and Food Technology Technician, you will work closely with the Head of Department and the team to provide essential technical support for teaching staff in Art and Food. Your role will be critical in ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment while supporting students’ engagement and attainment in these subject areas.

This is a full-time role to start in September 2023.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation as it relates to the work of a school.
  • Experience of keeping work records.
  • The ability to carry out risk assessments in relation to practical work.
  • The ability to effectively direct the work of a team.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.
