Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting for a full‑time KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a child with autism at a welcoming primary school in Tamworth. This role is due to start ASAP and is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

We are looking for a calm, patient and committed TA who can build a positive relationship with the pupil and provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.

About the Role

  • Full‑time Teaching Assistant position
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Working 1:1 with a KS2 pupil with autism
  • Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation
  • Helping the child access the curriculum in a way that suits their needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Providing a nurturing, consistent and supportive presence

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience (essential)
  • Experience supporting children with autism or other SEND
  • Understanding of KS2 curriculum
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow support plans and adapt to the child’s needs
  • Passionate about helping children thrive in school
