We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team at a welcoming primary school in Shard End.

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, Shard End
Start Date: December 2025
Hours: Full Time, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Provide 1:1 support to a child with additional learning needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging learning experiences.
Support the child’s social, emotional, and academic development.
Use initiative and creativity to help overcome barriers to learning.
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
Experience of working with children in a school setting, ideally in a 1:1 role.
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow directions but also use initiative.
A relevant qualification in childcare/education (desirable but not essential).
A supportive and inclusive school community.
