Behaviour Support

This supportive SEND setting in Nuneaton now seeks a confident Behaviour Support Assistant for a full‑time role. To begin with, you bring strong experience supporting pupils with additional needs and feel comfortable managing behaviour through calm, structured routines. As the day develops, you guide pupils through clear expectations, reinforce emotional regulation strategies and maintain consistent boundaries that help children feel safe and understood. Additionally, you work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO to deliver high‑quality behaviour and SEND support across the school. Ideally, you hold SEND‑related qualifications, though solid experience remains essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Behaviour support delivered through clear routines and calm communication
• De‑escalation strategies that promote regulation and reduce anxiety
• Targeted interventions for pupils needing additional guidance
• SEND‑focused support across 1:1 and small‑group sessions
• Close teamwork with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO
• Steady encouragement of resilience, independence and positive choices
