Zest Education are recruiting exclusively for a fantastic classroom assistant at a highly sought after primary school in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The position will be starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The position is part time (4 days/0.8) and will potentially be extended into September 2022 for the right candidate and will vary between working within small groups to help with the current catch up system. You will be required to work on a 1-1 basis to support children who need individual support, as and when required. The year group will be assigned upon successful interview.
The successful teaching assistant must:
- Hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification (or above) in a relevant subject
- Be an adaptable, efficient, and hard-working individual
- Have a strong work ethic and team player attitude
- Show a passion for education and have the ability to work on your own initiative
- Be able to engage with a broad range of pupils
- Be consistent in maintaining high standards
The school aims to provide all children with a secure and supportive environment to learn and grow. The school also benefits from good resources across the school and excellent outdoor facilities too.
If you have previous experience working with phonics and ‘Read Write inc’ then this would be advantageous but is not essential.
