Classroom Support Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties?

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join special educational needs school in Walsall.

This is a full-time role due to begin October 2025 and will continue on a long term basis.  You must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30.

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to students aged 5-18, helping them develop essential life skills in a nurturing environment. To succeed in this position, you must have previous experience working with individuals who have special educational needs, particularly those with SEMH.

At this school, we prioritise inclusion, equality, and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, engaging relationships with small groups of children. Collaboration with the class teacher and other teaching assistants is key to ensuring the holistic development of our students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
