We are currently looking for a c Classroom Support Assistant for a special educational needs school located in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full-time role due to begin as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year.

This school caters for students from the age of three to eighteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

You will be supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of lessons. Due to the needs of the students, you will be working with small class sizes and with a high number of support staff, as it is important that every student receives a personalised learning experience.

This is a well-respected special needs school that offers the best possible learning environment for its students. Due to the needs of the student, we are looking for someone that has previously supported individuals with special educational needs.  This environment has outstanding facilities, and the senior leadership team are eager to ensure that students remain focused throughout the day, so incorporate frequent walks into the timetable.

The Role:

  • You will need to be creative in the classroom and be able to offer engaging support to the class teacher and students.
  • You will be offered a great support network within school and any in-house training will be included.
  • You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and students
