Zest Education is working with a large special educational needs school located in Perry Common who are seeking a Classroom Support Assistant (CSA). The role is full time and is due to start in September 2022. This role is for the full academic year and there is a strong likelihood that a permanent contract will be offered to the successful candidate.

This school caters for students from the age of four to eighteen with additional difficulties including sensory impairment, learning difficulties, communication difficulties or complex medical conditions. Due to the needs of the students, the ideal candidate must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEND or in a similar environment.

This is a ‘outstanding’ rated school and are looking for a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant (CSA) who will strive daily to maintain the excellent standards. The successful candidate must be able to think on their feet and fit into any situation due to the demanding nature of the school.

The role:

  • You must be passionate about working with students with special educational needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment
  • You will be working with the students 1:1 and in small groups, so it is important you are able to identify and engage with different learning needs
  • You are confident with managing challenging behaviour and can de-escalate any challenge you do face with a calm, rational approach
