About the Role

Zest Education is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to work across multiple secondary schools in the Stourbridge area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who can deliver dynamic and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop essential digital skills and grow in confidence within the computing curriculum.

You will be joining supportive, innovative, and forward‑thinking Computer Science/ICT departments, where creativity is encouraged and professional development is valued. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact within several thriving school communities.

You Will:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring Computer Science and/or IT lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Teach key topics such as programming (Python), algorithms, networks, cybersecurity, and data representation
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively
  • Support students preparing for Computer Science GCSEs
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Note: Planning and marking required only for short‑term or long‑term placements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS)
  • Strong Computer Science knowledge, including programming (Python desirable)
  • Ability to teach KS3–KS4 confidently (KS5 a bonus)
  • Effective behaviour management strategies
  • Experience planning, marking, and delivering high‑quality lessons
