Computer Science Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education work alongside schools across Sandwell, currently supporting school in the Tipton area looking for a full-time computer science teacher, this will be to teach across KS3-KS5, starting September 2024 for the academic year – with a possible permanent role if the fit is right.

The school is a large secondary which caters for a broad range of pupils and has a growing reputation within the surrounding areas. It has great facilities and like them to be used to make the lessons enjoyable and informative. The school is also situated in a popular area so is very accessible for both private and public transport.

The successful applicant will be supportive, versatile, and reliable. Passion for the subject with a strong subject knowledge will be key to excelling in this role.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A hardworking team player ethic
  • A strong passion for the subject of computer science, able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS5
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • A creative mind to get the best out of the pupils.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
