Zest Education is currently collaborating closely with a secondary school situated in Staffordshire to assist them in their search for a Drama Teacher. Starting in September 2024, the position will be part-time (0.4) for an initial term.

With a strong focus on their students’ well-being, the school devotes a significant amount of time to ensure an enjoyable learning environment. Recognizing that this approach brings out the best in students, the school maintains a highly creative and innovative atmosphere, aiming to make learning as dynamic and enjoyable as possible.

The school desires a creative and dynamic teacher to join their departmental team, dedicated to improving learning outcomes for all students. Moreover, the school boasts state-of-the-art facilities and convenient accessibility via public or private transport. Proficiency in Drama up to Key Stage 5 is a prerequisite for this role.

The successful candidate will possess:

– A UK teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, that grants QTS or QTLS.
– A strong passion for Drama and extensive subject knowledge spanning Key Stages 3 and 4.
– A team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to a strong collaborative environment.
– The ability to design, assess, and deliver exceptional lessons (limited to planning and assessment in short/long-term placements).
– Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
– Innovative and creative teaching approaches, along with the ability to motivate students.

Pay rates will vary based on experience. Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / early career teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will receive equal consideration for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
