We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join one of our partner schools on a long-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to support students as they develop crucial literacy, communication, and analytical skills. For the right candidate, the position has the potential to become permanent.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ appreciation of literature, language, and effective communication. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities, ensuring strong progress across the curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience).
• Creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress in line with school policies.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
• Inspiring students to enjoy and succeed in English, fostering a lifelong love of reading and writing.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who is:

• Passionate about English and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.
• Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or ECT status.
• Experienced in teaching English at secondary level.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom management.
• Able to engage, motivate, and inspire students of varying abilities.
• A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
