Zest Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school located in the heart of Brownhills. We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the school team on a full-time basis starting in September 2025.
Location: Brownhills, Walsall
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

You will be supporting pupils across KS1, depending on the needs of the school. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality education, support individual pupils with additional needs, and help maintain a positive learning environment.
This is a friendly and inclusive one-form entry primary school that prides itself on creating a nurturing and inspiring setting for its pupils. Staff are supportive, leadership is strong, and the school enjoys excellent relationships with parents and the wider community. The school is easily accessible from Walsall, Cannock, and the surrounding areas.
Experience working with children, in a primary school setting
A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
Able to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with staff and students
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
A valid DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one through Zest Education
A personal and supportive consultant to guide you through the process

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
