Science Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are working alongside several schools across Birmingham, one school in Erdington is currently looking for a Science teacher to cover KS3, KS4 and KS5. The role would start from September and be for a minimum of two terms with extension based on performance.

The school is based in a popular area so is easy to get to via private and public transport. It also has fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities, which they find makes for better and more enjoyable lessons. The school is busy and hard working so anyone that join this school must try and continue with this ethos.

The successful candidate must be supportive, versatile and reliable. Subject knowledge is important with creative ideas to keep the students fully engaged. You must be able to build relationships with all members of the school as the school believe this gets the best out of the students and keeps all teacher base happy too.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of Science and experience of teaching Science across GCSE and A Level
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

 

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
