Geography Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a qualified Geography teacher for a school located in Oldbury. The role 0.6 and will start in January 2025 for a minimum of two terms, with a possible extension if the fit is right.

The school believe in trying to help and support each student into becoming promising young adults. The school is a fast paced secondary looking to improve on results year on year. It is also situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm in the role, excellent subject knowledge, and a passion for making a difference. Creative lessons to keep the pupils engaged and learning is key to excelling.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for Geography/Humanities and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • A strong desire to be part of a hardworking Humanities department
  • The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
  • A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.
