Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a fantastic primary school in Tamworth. This is a full-time opportunity at a warm, nurturing school with very well-behaved children and a genuinely supportive staff team.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and flexible individual who will enjoy a varied and rewarding role, supporting pupils across the school day.
This is a combined role involving:
Teaching Assistant support in Reception (mornings)
HLTA cover across the school (afternoons)
After School Club Leader duties
Opportunity to lead Forest School (one afternoon per week)
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Tamworth
Contract: Temporary – Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Working Time: 37.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)
8:30am: Preparation time for HLTA responsibilities
8:45am: Teaching Assistant support in Reception (a passion for Early Years is essential)
12:00pm: Escort pupils to lunch and provide 30 minutes lunchtime support
1:00pm: HLTA cover across classes (including teacher PPA time)
Opportunity to lead Forest School one afternoon per week
3:25pm: End of school day
3:30pm – 4:25pm: Lead After School Club
4:30pm: End of working day
