Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a challenging school in Nuneaton.

As an HL Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, working closely with them to provide tailored assistance and create a positive learning environment. Your empathy, patience, and ability to build strong relationships with students will be essential in helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
– Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
– Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and supported.
– Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and social workers, to develop and implement individualized support plans.
– Monitor and record the progress and development of students, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians when necessary.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with individuals with SEMH needs.
– A genuine passion for supporting and empowering students with SEMH needs.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
– Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
– An understanding of strategies and interventions for supporting individuals with SEMH needs.

This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing the best possible education and support to our students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
