Zest Education is recruiting a skilled and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join a warm, inclusive primary school in the Walsall area. This is an exciting opportunity to support high‑quality teaching and learning in a school that prides itself on its positive, nurturing environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver targeted interventions and small‑group work
  • Lead whole‑class learning when required
  • Assist with planning, assessment and classroom preparation
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement and wellbeing

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice
  • Confidence leading learning and supporting whole‑class activities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils and families

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
