HLTA – Nuneaton

A welcoming primary school in Nuneaton is looking for a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full‑time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident leading groups, delivering planned lessons and supporting pupils across the school. You’ll work closely with teachers and senior leaders to provide high‑quality classroom support, lead learning activities and contribute to a positive, structured environment where pupils feel engaged and ready to learn.

Candidate Requirements

• HLTA qualification or strong experience working at HLTA level
• Confident delivering pre‑planned lessons when required
• Ability to support pupils across different year groups
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Role Responsibilities

• Leading small‑group work and whole‑class sessions
• Delivering pre‑planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Supporting pupils during lessons and daily routines
• Assisting with planning, preparation and assessment
• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support where needed
• Contributing to a structured, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
