KS2 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We’re looking for a warm, proactive, and reliable KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children’s learning, thrives in a nurturing school environment, and is looking for part‑time work during the week.

 What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, helping them with reading, phonics, numeracy and a range of creative activities. You will also assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and the smooth organisation of the classroom. A vital part of the role is promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, contributing to a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

  • Experience working with children (school, nursery, tutoring, or similar)
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow guidance while using your own initiative
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
