Learning Support Assistant

Zest Education is working alongside a selection of welcoming and forward-thinking primary schools in the Nuneaton area to recruit dedicated Learning Support Assistants for full-time positions starting January 2026.

We are looking for passionate, reliable individuals who are committed to supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting pupils, an aspiring teacher, or anyone who has a genuine interest in making a positive impact in the classroom.

Years: Across year 1 – year 6
Sector: SEND / Primary Education

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across KS1 and KS2
• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with additional needs, both academically and emotionally
• Contribute to school life through teamwork, communication, and professionalism

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school-based or similar) is desirable
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
• A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
